2000 Dehlinger High Plains Pinot Noir

Seemed to be getting close to the ole’ down-hill slope for the 00s so took this to the club for lunch yesterday. Brite ruby with no bricking. Great nose with the red berries, spices, barny, and some smoky meat that all came over on the palate. About as complete as a domestic Pinot gets. Keen bottle and surprising for the vintage. VB

Verne - I would suspect that 2000 is hardly entering ‘over the hill’ for Dehlinger. From your note, that would seem to ring true.

I’ve yet to even SEE a ‘High Plains’ Dehlinger…

When do you want to come over? [drinkers.gif]

July 9th! [snort.gif]

Love and miss the High Plains. The 01 is amazing.

The reason I opened the High Plains 00 is that I had opened the 3rd bottle of the 99 a couple of months ago and it is really needs another 2-4 IMHO. Haven’t gotten into anything past this 00 but will open an 01 shortly. VB (This was before I came on the board here)
