TN: 2002 Scherrer Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Scherrer Vineyar

Ordered this from Cindy a week ago and popped the 1st one today…Holy smokes, this is so freaking good!! Gorgeous deep purple color…Black fruits, spices, currants. Very long finish and ready to drink. At $30 this is a steal!!!

Lou I’ve been pimping Freds’ wines since he broke away from Dehlinger. Think the 1st vintage if my memory is correct(90/10 against) was the 1998. Had a sip from a bottle that had been opened 8 days without a cork in it on a bench in the warehouse and ordered a case on the spot. He and Tom are, IMHO, 2 of the best red winemakers in Sonoma. By the way, I agree completely with your assement of the 02 with again, IMHO, this sucker is 3-4 away from the TTOIG. VB

I drink mainly French and Italian wines but I’m so glad I tried this. It’s soooooooo good and talk about an unbelievable QPR. I had a 01 insignia and a 04 Quilceda Creek Cab last week and to me this is better and MUCH cheaper. Kudos to Fred !!!
