Cork Photos

#1 Post by Scott VZ » May 2nd, 2011, 5:57 pm

*Original Post*Does anyone have any photos of old, wine-soaked corks that they'd be willing to share? Either intact or not, there are surprisingly few photos of corks that aren't fresh or freshly popped on the internet.

Thanks!

How about this from a 1978 Giacosa Rionda Riserva a few weeks ago.

Someone called Scott a corksoaker, so he wants to know what a soaked cork looks like? [snort.gif]

I'm working on a design project, and am looking for a bunch of photos for style sheets and design inspirations. Readily available google images were a bust, so I figured I'd be able to go to the source. I'm not going to publish any of these anywhere, like I said, they're only for personal reference.

...Although, I guess we could open this up to cork porn if people want to post some brag shots of old corks they pulled whole. Ken, please don't tell Serge, he'll make this go all NSFW. [snort.gif]

(Fun fact, "Pulling" is slang for sleeping with someone in British English.)

This is by far the geekiest thread of all time, and that's saying something. Even worse than "Name the Winemaker."

Perhaps it's an experiment to see how high up the Google search result hierarchy we can get for the search term "cork soaker".
