TN: 2010 Domaine Eden Pinot Noir

  • 2010 Domaine Eden Pinot Noir - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains (10/19/2012)
Another home run from Jeffrey Patterson of Mt Eden Vineyard except this is from another recently aquired vineyard about a mile away from the venerable estate! Popped and poured. No need to decant as far as I’m concerned. Medium ruby color. LOVE the damp forest floor nose! Hard to get my nose of the glass. A vibrant palate of spice, soil tones and red fruit. A very charming PN that shows more restraint and terroir then many CA PNs. Killer value for the $28 I paid on sale. Balanced! Nothing oaky, tanic or out of place. This easily drinks like $50+. Bravo! Any PN lover must make the pilgrimage to this iconic producer. (93 pts.)

Drinking my 2nd bottle of this right now. If this isn’t the best $30 domestic pinot around these days, I don’t know what is…and I’m BEGGING you to tell me.
