I have trouble making up my mind…
I’m not sure that I’ve had a beautiful or pretty wine this year. Perhaps the '64 Beaune-Greves by Domaine Thomas Freres that I had a few weeks ago had the most gorgeous, perfumed nose of any wine I’ve had in the last year, so qualifying as beautiful under my definition, but wow did its body have power in a very masculine, physical sort of way.
