Ayinger probably still the most interesting year to year. THE others are SO overproduced for worldwide production. Good American craft versions are a lot maltier, definitely fresher, and much more worthy of your time and money if you enjoy the style
Had Dinkelacker, Ayinger, and Hacker-Pschorr at Octoberfest event last night. When I’m just having one and not a stein, my preference is probably Ayinger. Drinking a full stein of Hacker-Pschorr is a great way to start. But when having more than one steain… the Dinkelacker wins.
