Opened a new bottle of Old Forrester 1920 last night. It hit my nose like a train the second I pulled the plug. At first I thought I was losing my mind as I have never had a corked spirit before. I poured a glass and let it set expecting it to blow off. Nope, just got worse. On the palate, all of the esters were ripped from it. Just alcohol. The TCA was stuck to my tongue like glue. Absolutely hideous! Opened the bottle again this morning and my god it was 10 times worse. My wife could smell it across the kitchen. Called the store and they said bring it in for a replacement. Hope never to get another one like that.
