2007 Larrivet Haut Brion Blanc

Recently procured an OWC of 2007 Larrivet Haut Brion Blanc and decided to pair a bottle with dinner this evening. Wine was a rich golden color, had pretty much no nose to speak of, and lacked any and all fruit character. So I thought, “oh well, maybe this bottle was premoxed”. So I opened a second and it wasn’t quite as golden, pretty much colored as expected, but it had the same lack of nose and lack of any redeemable character. I’m a regular consumer and fan of white Bordeaux - have vintages back to 1990 in the cellar. I appreciate the waxy, lanolin, savoriness that aged white Bordeaux can exhibit, but wasn’t expecting this from a relatively young 2007 vintage. Am I off base with my assumptions? My guess is heat damage.

Glass and decanter on the left are significantly darker than glass on the right.

Are those 375s? Let it sit longer and see if it unwinds…?

Nope, 750s. I’ll keep following, haven’t noticed any change over the past four hours or so.
