coco pazzeria on spring off greenwich street is byob until they get their liquor license. been that way for 3-4 months so far. it's near our place so ive brought some rather decent montefalco rosso or barolo normale. pizza is good...not life changing but if you're looking for a byob pizza place downtown, you really cant do better in my opinion.

Racines is no longer doing BYO Mondays and a friend reports being charged $70 corkage.
Ripe fruit isn't necessarily a flaw.

Midtown East
Madison & Vine: $55 (did not visit the restaurant)
Bistro Vendome: $25; neighborly low key French bistro. Food great, vibe nice and casual.

Your friend must know people.

A friend reports $80 per bottle.

Le Pavillon (Daniel Boulud’s new spot) allows BYO. The specifics depend a little. Give them a call.

Was informed via email, one bottle for two people @ $100 cork fee, cannot be on the list.

well, racines is closing at the end of the week. theyre reopening at the end of the year with a new concept...which is good because i always heard mediocre things about the food despite the good wine list.

We always really enjoyed the food, but ymmv. Sad to see this iteration go, but glad that we got to eat there twice in the last week (including last night, their last). Looking forward to seeing what they have in mind for the future!

Modern bar room reopen and corkage is $35. Outdoor seating appears to be in the sculpture garden which certainly seems like a nice option.

A couple of recent restaurant-visits where I did not BYO, but inquired about corkage, anyway.

Jolene, an American bistro in the East Village @ $35 per bottle.

Tacos Güey, a modern Mex with playful ceviche dishes and good tacos, also @ $35 per bottle.

just sharing that it's $75 to bring a bottle to four horsemen in williamsburg. obviously they have a decent list if you like the natural wines but if you were interested in bringing something more classic...

i think their food is better than their wine program. not sure if he's still the head chef but their chef used to cook at franny's...miss that place very very much.

Help Please!

Have a group of 6-8 looking for decent options to bring our own wine with good food, cool vibe, and reasonable cab ride from Times Square each night Oct 21-23. Coming from Chicago to NY Wine Experience at Marrioitt Marquis.

Biggest issue will be Saturday night, Oct 23, where we want to go out with a bang!

Any help very much appreciated!

A few additions for those of us across the East River in Long Island City/Astoria:
- Go Nonna: $17 per bottle. Excellent fresh pasta.
- Adda: $20 per bottle. Indian restaurant, glowing review by Pete Wells et al.
- Sake Kawa: Free. Decent mid-range sushi.

used to love king but dont care for their outdoor setup (and we're not dining indoors). they can certainly cook very very well but its also an expensive meal as theyve raised their prices a bit during covid.

Was a fun vibe. But the prices are too high for us to return. Hasn't stopped others.. place was packed.
