Looking back on your illustrious career…
Is there anything you would have done differently?
If you were not a wine critic, what would you have done?
and why?

Thank you for asking. Wow. I haven’t thought about it for a long time. I guess I would have been a musician. My children are accomplished musicians. Isabel, 12, is singing solo at Royal Albert Hall on the 30th. She just signed a five album contract with Decca. And Jack, 16, is grade 8 on the piano. What a joy to hear them make music and I love how it enriches their lives.
I became a wine critic out of luck more than anything else. I was originally going to be an investigative journalist – post Watergate. And I was until after graduate school in journalism at University of Wisconsin at Madison.
I guess bongos don’t count for much in music except in Cuba!
Wow! There’s not a typo in here somewhere? Your 12 year old daughter signed a 5 record deal?
Just google Isabel Suckling, Ken. It’s not typo.
That’s just amazing…

She has the voice of an angel. Did not realize she was only 12. What an amazing career lies before her.
I know James is very proud, and deservedly so!
Thanks Evan. She sang two nights ago in Royal Albert Hall solo in London. I am so proud.
