I’m looking to travel to NZ or Australia for the 2023 vintage. I have 2 harvests under my belt in Oregon and planning to return for a 3rd this year. While doing the research, I can’t seem to find the correct visa to allow me to qualify for a harvest job. The obvious route of the traveling holiday doesn’t apply since I’m in my early 50s and aged out of that category. I don’t have a specific connection at vineyards/winery in Australia or NZ that could act as a sponsor.
On a positive note, it seems there are quite a few opportunities on the job boards where I’ve signed up. Currently the pandemic postings are limited to citizens etc due to travel restrictions but I’m optimistic that will change in time for 2023.
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
