Restaurant rec convenient to LAX?

I’ve got relatives visiting next month and we’ll get together for dinner. They are staying at a hotel close to LAX, so I’m looking for
a place that is reasonably convenient (rental car or Uber) from LAX. Criteria, based on their input:

–Not too fancy/pricy
–American/California cuisine
–Not too loud so we can actually talk over dinner and hear each other
–Relatively easy to get a reservation on a Saturday night a few weeks out

Suggestions? Thanks.

I haven’t been to Gjelina in a while, but my recollection was that the inside dining area was ridiculously loud. The outdoor patio was nice, but it was very difficult to get a reservation specifically for the patio.

I’ve eaten in both. Certainly prefer the patio (by a mile). I don’t recall thinking that the inside was loud, but I could be wrong. FWIW, I think that Tasting Kitchen (if I’m thinking of the right place) is a similar dynamic, indoor, outdoor seating. I enjoyed my meal there too.
