The Nagano Kamiakari only brown is really good, though I think our favorite has been the Yamagata Tsuyahime. Some of the other misc stuff they have is pretty good too.

Since they import they had a run on most stuff by late April. That was refreshed mid May. Looks like the next refresh will probably be in July.

Thx! I can see getting rid of Aunt Jemima, but perhaps Uncle Ben ( I don’t know the history) , but is the Indian woman offensive?

Some time ago I realized that I may replace rice with bulgur and I really use it more often now. It’s a bit complicated because the way of its cooking, but it worth that.

Lately Gentleman Jake’s Charleston Gold or any Carolina gold rice.

I think it’s the romanticized portrayal of someone’s heritage being used to sell butter.

For short grain rice, I like Akafuji Niigata Koshihikari
