THAI BEEF SALAD

Here comes my new favorite summer salad. Nam Tok „Waterfall“ is a classic Thai-Beef-Salad. Such refreshing and spicy, perfect for hot summer nights. And a true UMAMI bomb.

Marinade was: Soy sauce, rice vinegar, some fish sauce, Furikake, a touch of lime juice. Marinated for about 90 minutes.

Meat cooked on a cast iron pan, hot hot heat, 2 minutes per side,

Used the marinade and 1/2 cup of water into the pan for deglazing, then added juice of two limes, quarter cup palm sugar, muddled cilantro and reduced while the meat rested…as the drizzle.

From my wife’s tomato patch…

Some lettuce and arugula from her garden, add mint leaves and drizzle…
