Èclat Chocolate is great.

Jacques Torres is MOF and never have we had anything other than stellar from him.

If you want to go more geeky, https://barometerchocolate.com/ sells very good single origin chocolate bars, among other chocolate products (disclaimer, I know the owner).

There’s an article in the current Wine Spectator about barrel aged chocolate. News to me. Might make an interesting gift.

Lilac Chocolates, Noo Yawk

Personally, I’d love to receive a 3 kilo bag of Valrhona Guanaja feves.

Right here in Detroit you have Bon Bon Bon. She is very good and a real Champagne lover.

I was just going to suggest this! I am working in Michigan this week and picked up a box at their Ann Arbor location. I can’t tell you how many I ate last night.

Rechiutti in SF is the best American maker in my opinion

Neuhaus is also great, and I’ve been able to send gifts without shipping via Amazon Prime

Amedei in Italy makes my all-time favorite.

Dandelion Chocolate or Askinosie chocolate. Both single origin bar companies.

Le Maison Chocolat in NY is quite good – but I am not much of a chocolate fan anymore so don’t know how it compares to the other suggestions here.

I have always been very happy gifting either from L A Burdick or from Vosges.

https://www.vosgeschocolate.com - gorgeous packaging, unusual recipes, and their toffees are delish. (They do special ones for the holidays)

https://www.burdickchocolate.com/ (Cocoa cups and some of their amazing cocoa is a great gift, the wooden boxes with ribbons are lovely too - we used to send as company gifts and always made folks very happy … their pastries too are superb and shift well. I used to live right near their original shop in NH and we loved stopping in for cocoa and a special treat.
