Chicken & Green Chile and Pork & Red Chile Tamales and Avocado with a Margarita each

Tonight’s dinner was shared Chicken & Green Chile and Pork & Red Chile tamales with sliced avocado, with Green Chile, Chipotle Chile, and Tomatillo sauces. We started with tortilla crumbs and the little remaining cheese & green chile sauce. We each had a Margarita made with Triple Sec, fresh-squeezed lime juice, and Correlejo Reposado tequila (in a 1:1:2 ratio).

Then for dessert we each had two small scoops of Double Dark Chocolate and Caramel Cookie Crunch gelati with our after dinner waters.

Carrie found some canned Tomatillo sauce that we have started using for dipping burritos and now we use it on grilled chicken breasts with or without smoked mozzarella. And now that you made me think about it, it could be another dipping sauce for mozzarella sticks besides ranch, BBQ and marinara. [thumbs-up.gif]

Delish. I need to buy Hatch Green Chiles this year.
