Stoneking Auction Lot 1 - Bedrock Wines + Private Tour/Tasting - CLOSED

#1 Post by Brian Tuite » December 8th, 2017, 5:47 am

Let’s start this off with a bang! There is no denying the love the Stonekings have for California Zinfandel and Field Blends from historic sites. Lot 1 was donated by Morgan and Chris of Bedrock Wine Co. and consists of 6 bottles of the yet to be released, if ever, 2015 Puccini Zinfandel (one barrel produced) and a private tour of Bedrock Vineyard hosted by Chris Cottrell accompanied by a tasting for up to 8 people.

Puccini Vineyard, or Clos Puccini, is a small Historic Vineyard on the West side of the Sonoma Valley it would have likely been destroyed by the Nunns fire had it not been for the stone wall protecting it from wildlife. Bedrock faithful will recall that it was the ‘11 Puccini wine that gave birth the phrase “Bedrock 150”. Since it was only 1 barrel Morgan decided to gift a bottle to each of his top 150 purchasers historically. We all know how that charitable deed turned out. Hopefully nobody has an issue with this one!
This lot represents 2% of the total production. Just think, you could be a Bedrock 2%er!

6 - 2015 Bedrock Puccini Vineyard Zinfandel + Private tour/tasting for 8

Bidding will close on Thursday December 14th @ 12:01 am PST.

One kilodollar.

What is man, when you come to think upon him, but a minutely set, ingenious machine for turning, with infinite artfulness, the fine red wine of Shiraz into urine?

I haven’t drank mine yet. Only one tasting note on CellarTracker in 2017. Anyone have it recently?
