I have seen these offered before, but I’m not an expert in when they can be used and when they can’t. I need to go to Frankfurt, Germany from Atlanta, Ga., leaving on 9/2 and returning on 9/6. I will need to purchase that ticket and would like to upgrade to Business Class if possible using the aforementioned upgrades.
I’m open to paying cash or wine or both. Let me know.

I have the same questions as Rob. Looking to go with my wife to China in December from Seattle. Delta seems to have the best routes. Would love to pay for 2 upgrades.

Pretty sure the GUC holder must travel with anyone using a GUC on Delta. So may want to look at another alliance.
Alternatively, on delta you can also use Delta FF miles to upgrade. Typically 65k each way trans Atlantic and need an upgradeable fare class.
I have some on AA that I’m not likely to use my the end of the year.
Rob just looked at your dates/routes and don’t see any upgrade availability.

Fairly flexible, but ~3 weeks or so in December. Something like 12/8 - 12/28, but I could probably go +/- a few days on either end.
