2018 Cote de Lechet 1er
$54.99
WA - Kelley 91-93

Notes of white flowers, apples, oyster shells and wet stones preface the 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and impressively incisive wine in this warm vintage, with plenty of chalky extract and a mineral finish. At this early stage, the Côte de Léchet looks to be one of the premier cru highlights of the vintage.

2018 Beauroy 1er
$54.99
WA - Kelley 90-92+

Tribut’s 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy is very promising, bursting with notes of mandarin orange, green apple, freshly baked bread and oyster shell. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, ample and expansive, with a fleshy, nicely concentrated core, lively acids and a saline finish.

2018 Chablis ‘Village’
$42.99
WA - Kelley 89-9

The Tribut family’s 2018 Chablis Village was showing well, displaying attractive aromas of citrus fruit, white flowers and toasted almonds. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, with good structuring extract and lively acids, concluding with a chalky finish. It had only been racked to barrel a month before I tasted it, so it’s early days to make a definitive pronouncement, but it would appear to be one of the vintage’s success stories.

Who’s notes are those?

They appear to be William Kelley’s.

Yes, William Kelley, scores Beaujolais too high but has a good Burgundy palate…
