Just FYI, Scarecrow increased prices to $450/btl and with shipping and taxes…it’s almost a wash (~$150 diff).

I am aware, this is what the market will bear,
For us as well, it is hardly worth the time, effort and risk,
it is a service we perform for our clients.
Unless the wine scores 100 pts, there is not that strong a demand in the market.
Shipping prices have doubled in recent weeks from Fedex,
Add in all of the charges, we sell at $1,900,
so there is no room to go up to purchase or ask our clients to pay more.
It is what it is, perhaps you have a better idea?
Ok…more FYI is all. BTW- JD scored it a 100 from what I understand…

I like Jeb, however, in Asia and Europe - (the markets we sell S.E. & Scarecrow)
Vinous and Advocate and Decanter are the trade journals our clients use…
I am really wondering why we bother with Scarecrow?
We can pay a bit more…
you have any idea how much staff time - how many steps go into
acquiring cases… and we move serious quantity…
and last year the winery made an effort to save money and used
crappy materials to build boxes - OWC’s, and they broke…
