I think you need to define moderate in actual dollars.

1995 Lynch Bages – $995

1996 Chateau Montrose, Saint-Estephe – $950

2001 Stags Leap Wine Cellars Cask 23 – $715

2001 Far Niente – $750

2001 Screaming Eagle Cabernet – $145,000

2002 Beaulieu Vineyards Private Reserve Georges De Latour Cabernet Sauvignon – $485

2002 Spottswoode – $1000

Note I came across a 1996 Pichon Baron whose price was phenomenal but a quick check of the Wine Talk board showed the retailer to be one of the shadier counterfeit purveyors.

Have not tried this one but a Beckstoffer To-Kalon 3L at what seems to be a decent price.

2012 Poetic Justice ‘Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard’ Proprietary Red Napa Valley 3L - $320.00

Great suggestions, thank you

Best cheap 3L bottles I have seen are at Costco. They usually only have them though during the Holidays. They usually have plenty of them under $100.
