Offer 1:
12pk case of 2015 Estate Sauvignon Blanc

Just in time for Spring and Summer this racy beauty is singing with all the mineral-driven character our site is becoming known for. flirtysmile
Aged in 57% Stainless Steel / 21% Neutral French Oak / 22% Concrete Egg.

92 Points - Vinous
“…rich, luscious and textured to the core. Apricot pit, peach, lemon confit, mint and sweet spices infuse a layered, super-expressive Sauvignon that captures the essence of this site and the vintage. About a third of this fruit is musque clone, which gives the wine its exotic, tropical aromatics.” - Antonio Galloni

Offer 2:
Gobelet vs Unilateral VSP Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 6-Pack [training.gif]
(3 bottles 2014 “Contango” Cabernet Sauvignon)
(3 bottles 2014 “Cliff Hanger” Cabernet Sauvignon)

An expedition into the different growing methods utilized at Grimm’s Bluff with our 2 reserve Cabs. The Contango Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the ancient “Gobelet” style as natural free-standing vines. The Cliff Hanger Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the more modern fashion of “Vertical Shoot Positioning” where more control is given to us, the farmer. Both yield tiny amounts of concentrated fruit that are so different, one must taste to believe!

Cliff Hanger

__

  • The 2014 Cliff Hanger Cabernet Sauvignon is the first effort from our trellised blocks that hang 300ft above the Santa Ynez River. 97% Cabernet Sauvignon / 3% Petit Verdot Aged 20 months in 60% New French Oak / 40% Neutral French Oak.

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast (Editors Choice)
“…shows stunning potential for this new vineyard. Blackberry, thyme, black pepper and crushed slate aromas lead to a tremendously savory, umami-packed palate, where bay leaf and stewed mushroom notes envelop a core of blackberry and black currant fruit. The structure is solid, and the finish is long and strong.”- Matt Kettmann

93 Points - Jebdunnuck.com
“The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Grimm’s Bluff Cliff Hanger (it includes a small amount of Petit Verdot) is also outstanding. Blackcurrants, black raspberries, sweet tobacco and herbs define this pretty, medium to full-bodied, polished and forward beauty that leads with its fruit…This up and coming estate is in the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara County AVA…” - Jeb Dunnuck

92+ Points - Wine Advocate
“…has a medium garnet-purple color and nose of black cherries, blueberries and black currants with waft of underbrush, dried herbs and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied and packed with black and blue fruits plus plenty of earthy layers, it has a firm, chewy frame and long, earth-laced finish.” - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Contango

__

  • Head-trained vines were exclusively chosen for making the 2014 Contango Cabernet Sauvignon. 99% Cabernet Sauvignon / 1% Petit Verdot. Aged 20 months in 70% New French Oak / 30% Neutral French Oak.

93 points - Jebdunnuck.com
“It’s my favorite of the Cabernet releases and has terrific notes of black raspberries, blackcurrants, toasted bread, spice and vanilla bean. Full-bodied, layered and beautifully concentrated, with sweet tannin, drink it anytime over the coming 10-15 years.” - Jeb Dunnuck

96 Points - Tasting Panel Magazine
"The nose offers retrained notes of earth and cookie dough, blueberry cream and raspberry jam. On the palate, tannins emerge as gritty and robust, yet the liquid core is graceful. It’s and effortless wash of fudge and black currant that finishes with graphite dryness, sweetened by cinnamon and basil.” - Meridith May

92 Points - Wine Enthusiest
“…shows black cherry pie and melted dark chocolate aromas. The palate is lush and soft but framed with rigid tannins that support its ripe blueberry, vanilla and crushed clove flavors. It’s built for ageing.” - Matt Kettmann

Thank you to everyone who took the time to look at our offer.

Hopefully it sparked some interest in the wines we are making and the great farming behind them.
