Shea Stadium (aka Citifield) June 29 - 50th Anniversary celebration

The Mets are honoring the 1969 team on June 29th. The game starts at 4:10, the ceremony probably an hour to an hour and a half earlier. I plan to get there at noon or so, fire up the grill, sit back, relax, open some good wine, and enjoy myself. I am trying to source a bottle of 1969, which I did not think of until today, but I will definitely bring other things as well. Anyone want to join me?

Jay - I am pretty sure the rules for Citi field parking don’t allow exposed flames. Was there last night and many had griddle type grills going. Not sure if the rules are looser when they are dealing with drunk baseball fans instead of old drunk hippies.
YMMV

That’s what I thought also, but I have been told by other regulars that it is not the case. I will have to check. I can always just drink.

Wish I was in town to attend.

Amy and I are going to this game, but we cannot get down there early enough to tailgate.

BTW where do you see the info about the pre-game ceremony?
