4-Year Vertical of Franny Beck Willamette Valley Pinot Noir ('14, '15, '16, '17)

At Franny Beck our goal is to not only create wines of balance, but wines that speak to the place from which they come—vintage specific, vineyard centered, elegant and honest wines. We work with growers who either farm organically or biodynamically, two baselines that help to ensure that the fruit we use to make our wine is of the highest quality. All of the fruit is hand harvested and picked when optimal physiological ripeness has been achieved.
What this means is that, while we utilize chemistries like brix, pH and TA, we base our picking decisions on flavor. In doing so, we bring in fruit to the winery that is at the optimal point to produce the types of wines that we love and believe show the best that the Willamette Valley has to offer. Once in the winery, we try our best to get out of the way and let the fruit become the wines that it wants to be. We are low impact with our ferments, ensuring that the place, the terroir of each vineyard, is allowed to express itself.
My man Chris Statile! Thanks for helping support the Berserker Community! I think you may have had each of these wine already, no? Maybe not the new ‘17. Regardless, this will be a good reason to invite some friends over and do a vertical!
Yeah man. Figured it was a win win
