Grassl Glass / April 6th Update - DELIVERY TOMORROW

Warm up your credit cards and come on in, as here is where you will find all the BerserkerDay offers - open to EVERYONE who loves wine. Apologize to your spouse or significant other ahead of time. #BD12
Forum rules
Forum rules
Not 'Rules', necessarily, but here's how BerserkerDay goes:

I'll be launching offers in groups of 8-10, in increments of 30 minutes. Sponsors will stay pegged at the top of the forum all day, each new group of offers will come in at the top with them for their launch grouping, cycling into the 'normal' thread after their launch time has passed, with a new launch group posted atop the thread thereafter. Discussion is encouraged, as posting replies moves the thread up to the top of the grouping, whether that is during launch time group or the 'regular' forum.

Keep checking in every 30 minutes for new offers being posted, and keep scrolling down to see everything that has been launched throughout the timeframe in which you've been on the forum, which hopefully is ALL DAY

Glasses arrived over the weekend and gave the champagne glasses a trial run last night - lovely!
Nice to finally have more than two matching champagne glasses.

Vanguard delivers tomorrow. We have printed labels, everyone's remaining order will be in a Brown truck or a blue and white truck by Monday.

Thanks for hanging in there.

BD sale will be extended in 10 days. I need to get these orders out, get my distributors reloaded and then we'll fire this back up. Also, the Voyage hit Slovakia and I'm bringing in a few pallets of them. Those are now 8 weeks out. And, they will be part of the sale.

Thanks Chris!
We have been enjoying the Grassl glasses we currently have!
My daughter certainly will appreciate drinking from the same glass that her Mom and Dad are drinking from.

LOL!! That XL cloth is ginormous!

Looking forward to rounding-out what I previously thought was a rounded-out order!

Ok so where has the case been my whole life? The saying you don’t know what you don’t know couldn’t be more accurate for the glass carrying case. I have traveled with it on a plane, to a friends house, to restaurants with shitty glassware- not sure how I go back. Thank you for creating this! It has certainly elevated my wine geek status to an entirely new level but as friends and ransoms see it they want in because it simply makes that much sense when drinking great wine.

I like the case but one warning. Be careful when reinserting an inner liner into a slot as the liner can tear pretty easily if you try to pull it down from the bottom. I just got a small tear that doesn’t impair the function, so I’m not complaining, but in the future I’ll be sure to push them into position instead of pulling them from the bottom.

Also, the case seems to work just fine with my GGGs.

Read yours, pulled slowly and mine still ripped at the bottom. It’s really tough to push them in. The quality of the foam is a bit too low for the price of the item. It definitely needs to be denser.

Got my hands on the cases yesterday.

Reading Mike's note I wanted to check out the foam inset. Was tight when pulling it out, so not wanting to risk ripping the foam I folded it up in half length-wise twice and was able to remove it with ease. I used the same technique to put the insert back with no issues. Going forward that's the 'technique' I'll be using for handling the inserts as that seems to work well.

I feel like they missed the opportunity to have a mesh pocket in the back or on the side of the bag to store things like a corkscrew and Durand.

Aside from that, I found the handle mechanism awkward. It's a bit stiff to pull up and the handle doesn't retract back automatically, even by manual manipulation it is a bit awkward to return it to its resting position.

Interesting. The bowls of mine (I tried it with 4 different Gabriel Glas) were too wide to fit. I could likely squeeze them in, but it'd feel too forced for my comfort.

I also stored my stem foot up in the carrier as I'm not super comfortable pulling glasses up by the rim. Also the video on Grassl's IG showed the glasses being stored feet up. So that's what I've tried.

The insert is being redesigned. I have 400 being sent from the factory.
Fold then so they look like a hotdog bun when you insert or remove them.
Send a note to info@cjfselections.com. I’ll replace those.

Too thin and they tear. Too thick and they change the friction aspect and make it too challenging.

Looking at several materials including neoprene.
