Traveling with wine through Switzerland question

Hi,

I will be driving from Chamonix to Alsace tomorrow with a healthy amount of wine purchased from France and was wondering whether there might be any problems when crossing the border to Switzerland, being that it is not in the EU. Does anyone here have any experience or knowledge about such a situation? Will I have to perhaps do some paperwork or even pay something? Thank you in advance.

To anyone interested in the matter, based on one PM and comments by Bill Nanson at The Burgundy Report it seems like a no-brainer to skip Switzerland and take the longer route. Apparently things could get very problematic at the Swiss border.

I’ve only ever driven straight through uninterrupted my last 2-3 times around Geneva.

We drove in the opposite direction a week ago and at the border near Schaffhausen were stopped and the guard looked inside and asked a couple of times if we had anything to declare.
