Avignon and CDP Recommendations

Our party of 5 will be visiting the Languedoc, then head over to Uzes/Nimes, and then to Avignon. We will arrive in Avignon mid to late afternoon on Wednesday March 27. Perhaps we will stop at a smaller winery or 2 on our way from Uzes//Nimes on Wednesday. We have all day Thursday, March 28 to visit wineries in CNDP and surrounding areas.

Any advice on where we should be setting up winery visits, especially on Thursday? Any guides we could hire or, since we have a car, are we best doing it ourselves?

Recommend the names of a few restaurants of varied price points for lunch and dinner?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

beaucastel

Had a great visit with Clos du Mont Olivet, Clos du Papes, Roger Sabon, and Domaine Saint prefert.

Beaucastel seconded. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Their wine is available in the town central CDP, not the winery, and it’s pricey, as in no bargain. Pegau has very small tasting facility in the town too, across the street from Beaucastels retail shop. Loved cdp.
