Food: Bring your own and cook. Make a big trip to the big supermarket in Marsh Harbor. The restaurants aren’t great and are very overpriced. It’s your standard greasy fare.
Wine: BYO or just drink rum. I highly recommend the banana daiquiris at the Coco Bar. Also, get Ricardo coconut rum on the rocks. And buy several bottles to bring home, as it doesn’t make it into the US.
Things to do: I HIGHLY recommend any boating excursions, snorkeling, diving, etc. with Tanique at https://abacoactivities.com/. Full disclosure: she is a personal family friend and her husband works for my dad. Wonderful people!
Other than water stuff, and golf, there is really not a whole lot to do. That’s really the point. Sit on the beach and relax.
You are heading there in hurricane season. Be prepared to sit inside for several hours each day due to the rains. Bring cards and games.
