Gotta love the Guardian.
I remember being “poo-poo’d“ for complaining about dog crap covering the streets of Paris, but man it was terrible in the 16th. “Rue de Poo” and “Poo-poo de Passy” were common jokes as my kids would try and hopscotch over piles of feces on the sidewalks.
WRT the garbage - it always surprised me to see how many Parisians would just dump their garbage on the curb, especially when moving out of an apartment. God help the city if the union ever goes out on strike…
