Hi there, new to the Forum and really impressed by the expertise I’ve found here on multiple subjects. In March, we (a couple) are traveling by car after a week skiing in the Haute Alpes north of Grenoble, down through Gap (for the scenery) and spending another week in the general Provence area. Thinking of basing in Aix-en-Provence and day-tripping out for wines from the Bandol area, etc. Have traveled most of south of France (Rhone valley, CdP, Arles,Cahors, Madiran, etc.) for wine exploration, including parts of Roussillon around Carcassonne and west to Toulouse, but never stayed in the heart of Provence. We’re returning from Marseille airport on a morning flight.
Looking at Aix-en-Provence, perhaps Roussilon or other Luberon villages, for a 5-6 night stay…anyone have thoughts on this? Would really appreciate some tips… Thanks!
