Encore Casino Boston Harbor: Place is a joke Do Not Go

Was in Boston this weekend with my family and thought it would be fun to visit the brand new Encore Casino that Steve Wynn built in Boston Harbor.

What sh*tshow it turned out to be.

First approaching the casino I was flabberghasted that it took about 10 minutes for my lift driver to go down a short drive driveway to the place as there was a long line of taxis in front of us before we reached the main entrance. As we approached I was impressed by how big and beautiful it was.

I immediately approached the blackjack pit looking for a reasonable minimum. Being a Saturday night I did not expect a $15 table and would have been fine. Looking around saw that every single seat in the pit was full but finally found a sole seat. As I sat down dealer welcomed me and wished me luck

As I started playing I noticed that there was nobody talking with the dealer or others at the table except their small group of friends. Proceeded to play at minimum wager and had the worst gambling streak of my life and gradually step.by step went down in flames losing 90% of my handsnan ripper though 300 bucks. Crazy but sh*t happens. All during this time the dealer was totally aloof and silent. I watched people come and go much faster than me as every single player at my table proceeded to increase their wagers oddly

A gentleman next to me who had been up around 600 bucks betting 150 to 200 a hand quite aggressively and even though he only occasionally was winning watched him crash and after digging up another 1000 bucks from his pocket and bl was w through it promptly. I of course watched him sit expressions and silent. The dealer did NOT EVEN say a word or express any emotion The highlight of the night my only good payout was a double down bet. The dealer did not pay me on it told me I lost. I said grab the pit boss and get her over here this instant and asked her what she had. and argued with me that I had lost. I had a 19 and she had a 17. I asked her to confirm my hand and hers and she told me she COULD NOT REMEMBER HER HAND.

Then how could the bitch tell.me I lost. The rudeness arrogance and unfriendlyness of the night was astounding
The coldness at the table I suffered though showed me that most likely there are more miserable indifferent young people than in NYC . Of course I had tried during my worst streak ever to find other blackjack pits. I did find two other areas but both of them had $50 MINIMUM WAGERS Are you kidding me ? What a scam. Obviously the same kind of treatment that I had heard Wynn was infamous.for was spot on. It occurred to me that Wynn is s powerful wise guy and gives
2 shitz . The icing on the cake is that you pay to park your car so you can lose exponentially. In the middle of the lunacy had watched a cop drag away a kid on cuffs.

Although it was a miserable experience it was an eye opening experience to the depravity of the Wynn organization and the young people in Boston. Biggest collection of human misery in my life and left there quite happy to have seen exactly what this nightmare was about. Of course a ton.of people will go and most will come back for more and deserve every minute of hell. Rating 1/2 of one star on account of it was a pretty building and it taught me to never return.

Thanks for the feedback Jonathan!

I visit Boston for work at least monthly and *was on my list until this post.

Happy Holidays!

Patriots hater ?

Lol . I love the Patriots and the Yanks so get hated in NY and Boston. Why do you think I am moving to SC ? But I don’t like the Steve Wynn empire his Vegas Casinos have a really bad reputation too i discovered . Wise guys just care about money.

Young Bostonians tend to be very educated and good at math. Accordingly, they don’t go to Casino’s. Must have been those New Hampshire heathens from 40 miles north!

Thanks for your thoughts. I almost went over yesterday to check it out but decided to hold off. Now reading this, I’m glad I did! They recently reduced the table limits (originally minimum $50, I believe) and got rid of their self-parking fees. I’ve heard horror stories from uber and lyft drivers about getting there (usually topic of conversation as we pass by while heading to and from the airport). The casino seems to have been plagued with problems since before opening, and I think there were even a few lawsuits post-opening, too. Sounds like they’re not doing much to encourage folks to go.

This casino doesn’t sound like a good place to go at all. Except may it is a good place to go if you want to increase your life problems.

I went there too. The place is awful. I will never ever go there again!

Interesting that this old post garnered so much attention from 2 new people who joined in the last 2 days.
