Getting 2 Cases of Wine to USVI-St. Thomas from NYC

know this type of question has been asked/answered previously, but couldn’t find the links.

A friend is looking to get 2 cases of wine down to the USVI-St. Thomas for Christmas week. He and some other families are renting a house for a week.
The wines are in his apartment and in offsite storage .

Can the offsite facility ship to a retail store down there?
Any other options to get the wine down there, other than each person putting a couple of bottles in their suitcase (assuming that’s legal)?
I know some of you have mentioned Wine Check or other similar devices .

I also posted in Wine Talk.

Thanks in advance for any information/assistance.

You don’t go through customs in the USVI so theoretically you can bring as much as you want. You would need to check your airlines rules. I would just check it as luggage. Beware that it may be exposed to some heat when on the tarmac but if packed well it shouldn’t be an issue.
I would NOT put it in my suitcase but use a winecheck or styrofoam shippers.

Visit here again soon. I have not ignored you and Anne over dinner in a long while.

We travel with the VinGardeValise wine suitcases.

Thx !!
