Provincetown, MA

Going up for a few days at the end of the month. Haven’t been in decades and the wife has never been. And food or lodging (or other) recommendations to share?

Thanks in advance.

Marine Specialties store. I haven’t been in probably 10 years, hopefully it’s as interesting as ever…

On the way, try to stop here for an oyster po boy for lunch (picnic tables in the sand):

They do also have a location in P-town but I haven’t been to that one.

If you golf, go here:

There is a vineyard in Truro which tends to get mentioned in lists of wineries in New England - but I haven’t been.

The Truro winery makes a decent cab franc. Also just up the street is https://www.atlanticspice.com/ you can get just about any spice needed.

The Mews Restaurant on Commercial St is our favorite P-town restaurant for dinner with an innovative menu and a decent wine list. A great B&B if you can get a reservation is the Somerset House, also on Commercial Street. If you are into the Provincetown school of art be sure to go to the town hall; they have some wonderful pieces on display. The Provincetown Art Assoc Museum is also a great destination with an incredible collection. For lunch and a good clam or lobster roll, try Mac’s on Shank Painter Road.
