Dinner at Rathfinney

Returned to a favorite spot for English sparkling wine and a glorious kitchen. A real bargain for 35pounds per for three courses. The British seem to have discovered burrata and are doing lovely things with it. Mixed summer veg salad. A torched piece of mackerel was the best plate I’ve had this trip over. A wonderful market steak for the husband and sister-in-law and a trout in a green pea veloute for me which was sumptuous. Only the dessert was a bit disappointing. I had two glasses of the house sparkling rose while the others drank Pedro Ximemez (don’t question, they loved it!) bought a 3 pack of BdB, BdN and Rose to bring home. Highly recommend if you are in Sussex.
