Pennsylvania Dining

Hitting the following college towns next month with the family for overnight stays and college visits. We will be traveling with two boys (17 and 15)

Anyone have any restaurant recommendations for these lovely hamlets in PA?

Bethlehem
Lewisburg
Gettysburg
Philly - We currently are planning to go to Morimoto, but am certainly open to any suggestions.

Thanks!

Bethlehem: Thai Thai II

FYI it is a BYOB

Matyson in Philly. BYO and an interesting weekly special menu.

Bolete in Bethlehem — not BYO but very, very good.

Prison food in Lewisburg.
Civil War left-overs in Gettyburg.

How many days in Philly?

Just one night in Philly. Thanks for the tip in Bethlehem…

Can’t say I am looking forward to Lewsiburg or Gettysburg though!

Gettysburg is a fascinating, deeply moving experience, but just not for eating and drinking. You should be looking forward to it! Lewisburg . . . ok, you’re probably right there

I took my daughter to Morimoto two years ago for dinner after grad school interviews at UPenn. We ate the omakase dinner, which was very good, and the space is fantastic. We and she travel and eat pretty extensively, and she still talks about that dinner and how good and fun it was.

My wife and I have wanted to go since it opened, but we have never found ourselves with reason to be in Philly. Looking forward to letting them have their way with us (so to speak). Thanks for the post!
