Alfert was 19th on the list. What’d he snag?
Alfert ended up picking something that will bring him endless ribbing! [wow.gif]

We need an update on the picks...
Here's the latest:
1996 Rousseau Chambertin
2014 DRC RSV
1996 Conterno Monfortino
2013 Vatan Magnum
2014 Juge Magnum
1999 Verset
2001 Cheval Blanc Magnum
SQN Set
2016 Dujac Clos st denis
3L of 2018 Walter Scott
2010 Benetiere Dolium
1982 Lynch Bages, 2004 Etienne Sauzet Batard Montrachet, 2008 Raveneau Butteaux (onepackage)
2x 2013 Dujac Malconsort
2013 henri Boillot Batard magnum
2015 Fourrier Clos st Jacques
Thanks Andy.

Can someone please give me a quick intro on SQN, Walter Scott, and Lynch Bages? As a non-American is hard for me to judge their value and how they are viewed from the US-community.
Lynch isn’t American...?

Apparently that trip to Napa was more impactful than we thought!?!
When we were at Berns back in February, all Alfert was talking about was how amazing napa was and that he wanted to order the 1L of 2017 Caymus

Ask NED.

I am waiting for a recognition that stopping at #35 was fundamentally unfair.

We all know summer is rose season. Needed to fill that critical position of need. Or traded back to accumulate more picks.. as most teams could use starters in multiple skilled positions.

Everyone that donated was extremely generous. I would have been happy with anything, the real winner was NAACP LDF, anything else should be viewed as a bonus. Kudos to everyone who donated wine or dollars. You're all winners.

Charlie, you should contact the NAACP direct. I'd imagine they don't get a 60k donation every day. I'd love to hear/read what they have to say.

Over $50,000 of the $60,000 was donated directly to the NAACP Legal education and defense fund (not the NAACP), so it came in piecemeal to them. Even then, I'm guessing $60,000 is probably a drop in the bucket for what they've been receiving.

We (I) don't need the recognition of a good deed to do the good deed, just glad the wine community came together. I'm still amazed at our ability to raise the $60,000, not just in money but also the wines that were generously donated. This wasn't some big wine auction house running a charity auction and tapping into their deep client connections. I didn't ask a single person to donate wine yet so many felt the call to action and reached out to me.

We, the general wine community, are generally privileged and insulated from a lot of the social issues that plague America at this time. So it says a lot to me that people saw that and contributed. I applaud everyone on Wineberserkers, Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit that knew there was something more we could do in the wine community in these uncertain times. Even if you didn't donate, hopefully this time allowed for a changed perspective in how we see the world and our place in it.

Thanks again everyone.

her videos are important. where we go from here is important. I appreciate that she is willing to call BS out. I also appreciate people learning that what they're doing IS actually BS and they didn't even know it, and learning from it and doing better.
