1995 Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste

I like the 1995 GPL - still have more than a case …
However in a comparison I prefer slightly the 1996 GPL …
but both are not completely mature so far … the 95 is closer imho …

So its true what Michel Bettane told me once. A top Paulliac from an excellent vintage needs about 30 years to reach its peak.

I got my 95 earmarked for consumption in 2020 and the 96 in 2024. Based on the TN and some notes I read this seems to be spot on. Thanks

Yes, I´d say about 25-35 years …depending on the style of the vintage.
The 1982 was close to maturity a little bit earlier … the 1986 even later
(hard for the impatient waiting for the 2005s, 2010s … [wow.gif] )
