2010 Ceritas "Porter-Bass" Chardonnay

In English, please? neener

Frank means it’s good! [tease.gif]

In the past, I have openly stated on this Board that (IMO) California Chardonnay (and Merlot, for that matter) couldn’t compete with the best French examples. Ceritas (and maybe Copain, Rhys, Mount Eden, Ridge, Littorai … ) are making me reconsider that.

I’m still waiting to be convinced with Merlot.

Mike, on the Chardonnay front, I think the examples you mention are right up there. They are not Burgundy, but they can be just as good!

awesome wines!

sitting here packing up to take wine to the offsite. Taking all but one of each of the pb and pr to store for a few years. Will kill two babies over the winter just to see what to expect in a few years.

This waiting stuff sucks

I think your list is pretty inclusive, except for Arcadian.

On the Merlot front I don’t think we will see that in our lifetimes.

This is why this hobby is so dang dangerous. You need to build up your cellar to such a degree that you reach a point that no matter what you grab it is likely to be drinking well. [berserker.gif]
