2012 Rhys Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard - a fit for AFWE palate?

2007 was the most massive (maybe a bit rustic) of the Horseshoes. Each successive year, as the Rhys team learned about the terroir, ideal clones, rootstock, row spacing etc… the resulting wines have been a bit more refined and show well even young. The same process occurred with Bearwallow.

The 2012 Horseshoe during pickup day tasted the most open and ripest of all the Horseshoes 07-12 I’ve tried upon release. However, in the total realm of pinot noir, it’s still quite reserved.
