Alright, the comments make me think I have to organize a WW rocks cab/blend tasting. I’ve tried a number individually but never in an organized way.

Aside from the mind-blowing syrahs, I am getting more and more enchanted with grenache from the rocks. I’m thinking grenache does really well there and can stunningly good. Cayuse, Horsepower, K Vintners, and Rotie to some extent.

I agree about Syrah and Grenache – both do really well in the Rocks. As does Viognier. The Rhone varietals seem to do the best.

I would be happy to contribute some Cayuse bdx blends for a Rocks bdx blend tasting. I have a number of verticals of Widowmaker, Flying Pig, and Camaspelo. Also Lovers, though that is a Syrah/Cab blend.
