I haven’t had the 2010 but I’ve had two more recent vintages of Screagle Sauvignon Blanc (not my bottles) and they were pretty and quite expansive-tasting wines with some barrel fermented character but not much in the way of oak maturation flavor, keeping them very fruit-focused, refreshing, lovely aromatics. Having said that, I don’t think it’s any better than (or even as good as) a good white Bordeaux. I’d prefer a bottle of Smith Haut Lafitte, and as far as domestic producers go I’m just as happy with my Dragonettes for $50.
