At Newark airport, express bag drop and TSA line both moved quickly.
Flew into Newark today from Porto. Got through immigration and customs, collected my baggage, and dropped off my luggage within 45 minutes. Made it through security for my connecting flight in another 30. All in all, more efficient than prior travel.

(I had to do some minor seat changes that I couldn’t go online, BA wasn’t answering the phone the two days I tried
ETA eventually tried twitter for the seat change, completed but took 5 days.

Mishandled baggage in LHR - more than a few- current advice is carry-on baggage only, I’m considering changing my September return from Vienna to go through Madrid. I go into London starting a 3 week trip, not sure I can do only hand baggage, hope it gets better by Labor Day
We’re still in shock our recent trip with checked luggage, PHL-LHR and then onto Athens a few days later and finally, Athens to PHL was totally non eventful. I guess we did something right in a previous life.
