Another Shitty '07 Oregon Pinot Noir

What was wierd to me was I felt like I was drinking, oh I don’t know, a 2008 Ayres rather than an '07 BP Murto.

The Cameron Gehrts and Westrey AR are 2 of my 07 favs. A comparison of Westrey’s 06, 07 and 08 ARs provides an outstanding view in to the character of those vintages.

Good to read your posts…just happen to be sipping on an 08 Westrey AR as I write this…quite nice with very nice red fruits and earth notes on the nose …great acidity ( which I know is up your alley) that will go great with Diane’s cedar plank salmon with maple ginger glaze that she is plating now…

This thread prompted me to take a crack at an Adelsheim '07 Elizabeth’s Reserve. I only have a handful of 2007 OR Pinot and actually can’t recall having one…so…
… elegant wine, sweet strawberry fruits predominate, smooth from start to it’s moderate finish. nothing overly complex but certainly a very nice drink… but wait, no it can’t be…the alcohol is only 12.9…damn, it’s a crappy wine after all…

Yes, Richard…we’ll be in OR for another 6 weeks and hope to do some serious tasting, looking for particularly ‘shitty’ wines.
