Baudry La Croix Boissée

Lol, Rolland declares it “best vintage in the history of the universe!” Suckling and Leve reset scale to 110 points.

All my 2014 Rougeard bottlings say 12.5, but that could be stock. The 2005 say that as well, and I suspect it is riper.

The problem with 2005 is poor fruit/tannin balance.

I would love to taste Rougeard. Had a 2011 a few years back and it was awful haha. But the prices now are just silly.

By the way, is the white LCB any good?

It’s can be excellent, and oddly enough, I do not frequently buy it. No good explanation there.

Rougeard Poyeux 2012 (I had it last week) is much better than Rougeard Poyeux 2011 (I had it last year) …

I recently bought a Domaine des Sanzay Poyeux 2018 : 14,5° on the stick !

I wouldn’t know, as I don’t touch these until 10 or 15+ years after the vintage.

I love the, style. Just had the 2019 and it is a brilliant show of Chenin qualities

Thanks. I will add a few 2019’s to my next Baudry order then :slightly_smiling_face:
