Beau Rivage 17/18/19 Chenin Blanc

Glad it showed well, and thanks for the note. The 2018 really opened up in the last few months, and while I still wish we had picked it about ten days later, its evolution continues to surprise me. Like you, our Japanese importer prefers it to the 2017, and it is always interesting to know what that very sophisticated market is thinking.

I tend to drink it out of Zalto Universals.

Psst: I dig these vintages, but also the 2020 Chenin is really good. It has an extra gear and greater length.

We’re these offered on Berserker Day? I don’t know how I missed them!

Wally’s has the 2017 on sale for $20

These were offered for sale as part of BD 12

So are the 2020 references to an insider club? If so, seems odd since Robert
was able to keep mum.

We sent some to Alfert in his capacity as an “early adopter”, and some to Glen when his refrigerator full of Flannery and Beau Rivage was stolen. Apart from that, no one has tasted it!

Let’s drink!!!

Got the 17 in my glass now. I must say I am impressed now that I have had the bottle open for two hours. Fine balance and just the right level of acidity for my liking. Wish it had a bit more length but at this pricepoint, bravo!
