Blowout wines spotted locally.

Would be nice to know the location of the stores with these great deals.

I used to help manage a well known wine storage facility years ago and remember taking receipt of close to 15-25 cases of clos rougeard from a minnesota based retailer. This must have been in 2010? I can only imagine that was some manner of closeout sale pricing involved. Back then bottles were what $30-50?? Talk about reading the market and pouncing!

One of many perks working there was seeing the invoices and being able to see firsthand the prices and retailers where collectors were getting their wines.

Lots of robert chadderon selections, especially huet at bargain prices.

Too bad I wasn’t making much money to really capitalize on that kind of insider information.

I picked up some ‘17 and ‘18 Keller GGs (hubacker and kirchspiel) for ~$80 each. For people with an allocation this is probably right. On the secondary market you’d multiple by 3.

I was hoping this was another Mark B. thunderbucket thread…oh well…very disappointing.

Before COVID I’d spend a few hours on Saturday or Sunday just picking a new area near home and hitting every store I could find.

Some finds :
97 Monte Bello $100
2007 Tig $80
2015 Tig $85
98 Monte Bello $99
