If that’s what the fellow meant, then I understand.
But if Roberto quoted him correctly and the guy is reputable, I would take a different meaning - such as, ‘realizing the economy may be affecting your business, I have some wines that might fit your French inventory at an attractive price point.’
I assume that most retailers are very concerned about price point these days.

He should have said it this way then. When attempting to sell a product, especially in this marketplace/economy, nothing should be left to question. Selling SKU’s isn’t going to get you in the door at a store like Roberto’s…but selling a “french wine that comes in at an attractive price” would, and should, get you a meeting.

Agreed. Even referring to them as high QPR wines as cliche’ as that may be, would be more attractive than calling them SKUs.

We all agree that the bulk of our customer base right now is looking for these types of wines. But obviously price alone won’t do it and if that is the thrust of the sales pitch, caveat emptor!
