this really makes sense. If you don’t buy white burgs because of the risks involved, now is a chance to drink something wonderful with house insurance.
Otherwise, I would call the somm. If you show interest and a little knowledge, tell him (her) what you like, and ask for the best value recommendations w/in your price range, I bet you will end up with a better deal than anything his esteemed group could recommend spending 5 minutes glancing at the list
Just Fri & Sat Andrew. We got to get OOT. A hazard of being only surgeon in a Co is sometimes you just have to bail to take some deeper breaths and reconnect with your spouse.
A chance to drink 92 Sauzet Batard with the restaurant backing it is once in a lifetime. The price is great also. I’d do the 89 Lynch or 96 Heitz Martha’s.
Truth is, Glenn, I have not had one in a couple of years, so with that caveat, I’d say sounds great with brunch. The last one I had was remarkable. Deeply flavored with savory notes from lees, and still showing fresh(isn) notes from PN.
Is this the B&B near Ferndale in northern California? If so, we stayed there when we drove up the coast 12 years ago. It’s a wonderful place. We stayed in the main house, and we were glad we did. After dinner, where we did the wine tasting to match dinner (both were outstanding), we stumbled up to our room.
The breakfast was pretty good too. What a shame that it’s out of the way, and not easy to get to.
My first choice would be the 2001 Ridge Monte Bello for $225. Or the 2002 MB for the same price. The 2001 Monte Bello has gone up a lot in price the last few years. The 1991 Laurel Glen Cab for $150 is also appealing.
