from what i understand, the del mar event will feature only about 200 wineries, whereas the pasadena one will have 300. i’m planning to hit both.

This is a new showing for San Diego area. Pasadena has always been on a Tuesday, and gets a pretty big crowd. Check http://www.familywinemakers.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; site and see if it’s Consumer and/or trade event. San Diego may be Consumer/Trade. Pasadena is typically only Trade focussed, however, if you have any affiliation with a retailer or restaurant, you should be able to get in for free with a bus. card.

Todd, for as long as the website allowed me to access it, it showed something like 12-3 pm trade and 3-6 pm trade/public. Tickets were $40.

You can register on the site. Then, all you have to do is show a card at the door…it’s that easy and you ARE in the wine business!
