Favorite $30 and under Cab

Jay, Binny’s has the Buehler cabernet for $20 and it is very good.

Broadside would be a great choice. Mondavi Oakville should be in that range as well.

Two words: Washington State

Sequoia Grove

I’d add Buehler Estate Cab Sauv to the mix. Not the lesser bottling, but the Estate. Pretty decent year in, year out. And fairly widely available:

Whatever you pick, I’d suggest this. If it’s a newer release, and it’s “allowed”, I’d open up your bottles and either decant them or let them breath in the bottle / slow ox. Most anything you’ll pick will that’s a current release will benefit from that.

Cheers,
Jim

Jay, you might want to consider taking your own spit bucket !! [cheers.gif]

Funny- 2 are for the blind tasting and one bottle will go to the “winner” of the tasting.

Great suggestions - thanks to all…keep them coming!

I’d consider bringing a bottle of Charles Shaw. Think of the fun you could have if a $4 wine wins the tasting.

Ruston. Consistently well made Cab in a classic style.

The Columbia Crest H3 for $10 should be on your list. I think it’s a spoofed oak-bomb and hate it, but others seem to love it and it is easy to source.

Yes.
